About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Network Engineer to design, deploy, optimize, and manage large-scale, enterprise-grade Wi-Fi infrastructures across campus and branch environments.

In this role, you will lead end-to-end RF planning, controller configurations, high-density network designs, and Wi-Fi 6E/7 upgrade lifecycles. You will act as an escalation point providing L3/L4 support for complex wireless incidents, driving seamless roaming performance, robust 802.1X/WPA3 security, and automated cloud network monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wireless Architecture & RF Design: Lead predictive and active site surveys, RF capacity planning, channel allocations, and spectrum analysis using industry-standard tools (Ekahau, AirMagnet).
  • Enterprise Controller & AP Deployment: Configure and manage enterprise access points, wireless LAN controllers (WLCs), SSIDs, VLAN mapping, mobility groups, and fast roaming protocols across Cisco, Aruba, Juniper Mist, or Ruckus.
  • Next-Gen Standards & Migration: Architect and execute migration roadmaps for Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7 architectures, managing frequency utilization (6 GHz band), power profiles, and hardware compatibility.
  • Wireless Security & NAC Integration: Implement 802.1X authentication, EAP suites, RADIUS integration, and WPA3 enterprise security frameworks in coordination with Network Access Control (NAC) platforms such as Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass.
  • RF Optimization & L3/L4 Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex degradation issues, including co-channel interference, hidden nodes, roaming latency, jitter, packet loss, and rogue AP intrusions.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Track live RF health, client metrics, and QoS policies (Voice/Video over Wi-Fi) utilizing platforms like Cisco DNA Spaces/Catalyst Center/Meraki, Aruba Central/AirWave, or Mist Cloud.
  • Automation & Governance: Develop operational playbooks, SOPs, and configuration automation workflows using Python, Ansible, or REST APIs where applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Experience: 3 to 6 years of core networking experience with an exclusive, heavy focus on enterprise Wi-Fi design, implementation, and RF optimization.
  • Survey & Planning Tools: Hands-on experience conducting RF site surveys, heat mapping, and attenuation analysis using Ekahau or AirMagnet.
  • Hardware & Platform Mastery: Demonstrated proficiency configuring enterprise controllers, access points, and cloud platforms (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper Mist, or Ruckus).
  • RF Engineering Fundamentals: Strong command over high-density wireless design, dynamic channel assignment, power level balancing, interference mitigation, and 802.11 standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be).
  • Routing, Switching & Protocols: Deep foundation in TCP/IP networking, switching, VLAN trunking, and wireless authentication protocols (802.1X, RADIUS, EAP-TLS/PEAP, WPA3).
  • Escalation Support: Proven background providing L3/L4 root-cause analysis for major wireless outages and latency degradation.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Certifications: CWNA / CWDP / CWAP / CWSP, CCNP Enterprise (Wireless) / CCIE Wireless, or Aruba ACMP / ACCX.
  • Practical integration experience with Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass policy managers.
  • Familiarity with network programmability and automation scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience with BLE/IoT location tracking, asset tags, or Software-Defined Access (SD-Access).
