Our client is a design-and-build manufacturer of custom industrial process equipment, specializing in engineered-to-order and build-to-print equipment. Their projects involve a wide range of specialty equipment manufactured largely in-house by fabricators, machinists, and mechanical and electrical assemblers.

This position is part of the Operations team and works across the organization, including suppliers, subcontractors, internal production teams, sales, and customers.
The Project Manager will help coordinate the execution of technically specified projects by aligning people, schedules, resources, project requirements, costs, and deliverables. The role also has responsibility for estimating and supporting the development of customer proposals.

The ideal candidate is someone who is technically capable, highly organized, comfortable working across multiple teams, and able to take ownership of projects from planning through execution.

What You’ll Do

Coordinate project execution and support project deliverables from kickoff through completion.
Translate customer requirements, technical specifications, and contractual requirements into clear project deliverables.
Lead project kickoff meetings with key stakeholders.
Coordinate resources across engineering, production, suppliers, subcontractors, sales, and other teams.
Establish and maintain project schedules and identify risks affecting the critical path.
Develop risk mitigation and recovery plans when project conditions change.
Monitor and report project financial performance.
Communicate project status, requirements, risks, and changes to key stakeholders and customers.
Maintain alignment between project scope, schedule, resources, cost, and customer expectations.
Support projects with a focus on first-pass quality and efficient execution.

Estimating Responsibilities

Review customer requirements and technical specifications to identify cost and lead-time considerations.
Coordinate with internal teams to develop accurate project cost estimates.
Ensure estimates reflect customer requirements and applicable specifications.
Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
Own and present cost and schedule estimates to management.
Work with the Sales team to develop formal customer proposals.
